Ohio State opens up the 2014 season on Saturday versus Navy in Baltimore. Today, the Buckeyes released its two-deep for the game. Usually (or ideally) it would be released with the team’s game notes on Monday. With the word “or” sprinkled between player’s names in the lineup, it’s understandable why the slight delay in in releasing the two-deep this week. With several starting positions apparently still up for grabs, coupled with the fact that it’s Game One, expect lots of guys getting significant playing against the Midshipmen. Of particular interest to me, no clear cut starter at running back or the hybrid position. Again, it’s only semantics, with Ezekiel Elliott, Rod Smith, Curtis Samuel, Dontre Wilson, and Jalin Marshall expected to all see the field at some point. I think Urban Meyer and his staff want to see how guys perform in game action to determine playing time as the season goes on.
With that, here is the Ohio State Two-Deep vs Navy
