CBJ 2014-15 Schedule Released

0427132129aNine days after the LA Kings hoisted Lord Stanley’s Cup, the NHL released the schedule for the upcoming 2014-15 regular season.  The Blue Jackets, looking to build on the second playoff appearance in franchise history, open up on the season on October 9 at Buffalo.  Two days later, the CBJ will have its home opener against the defending Eastern Conference Champion New York Rangers at Nationwide Arena.

Columbus will have 19 set of back-to-back games.  The CBJ’s longest homestand will be four games (Dec. 18 vs. Washington, Dec. 20 vs. Chicago, Dec. 22 vs. Nashville, Dec. 27 vs. Boston) and longest stretch of road games will be five (Feb. 14 at NY Islanders, Feb. 17 at Philadelphia, Feb. 19 at Pittsburgh, Feb. 21 at Montreal, Feb. 22 at NY Rangers).

In addition to 41 home regular season games, Columbus will host the NHL All-Star Game for the first time this season. The Skills Competition takes place Saturday, January 24.  The 60th NHL All-Star Game on Sunday, January 25.
